Our Kiama Veterinary practice is open six days a week, however we also provide emergency care. We offer veterinary services for dogs, cats and horses. We cater for all domestic pets as well as having horse doctors on our team. Our Kiama and Shellharbour vets are able to conduct a full health check, as well as carrying out essentials such as vaccinations, worming treatments and checking for fleas and ticks. We can advise you on a range of products to keep your pet healthy, including specialised nutritional blends from Royal Canine and Science Diet. Our veterinary clinic also offers dentistry, orthopaedics and minor surgery for small pets, including desexing and microchipping. All pets undergoing surgery and testing are given the best of treatment while they are in our care. We also diagnose and advise on lameness in horses throughout Kiama. At Kiama Veterinary Hospital in Kiama, we provide a wide range of small animal services including vaccinations, consultations, heartworm prevention, desexing and dentals and digital X-ray and ultrasound imaging. That's not all! Our veterinary surgeons, as well as offering home visits, can also perform all types of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. And we have weekly puppy pre-school classes for dogs aged between 6 and 18 weeks. The focus of these classes is socialisation and training. For larger animals, we do farm visits for cattle, horses, sheep, goats and pigs as well as herd health and routine calving services. As for products, we have carefully selected all of our stock so that you don't have to. We have flea and tick prevention, food, shampoo and pet accessories from brands such as Advocate, Advantix, Activyl, Hills Science Diet, Frontline and Vet's Best Rewards. Liz Bramley graduated from Murdoch University (Western Australia) in 1997 and worked for 2 years in mixed dairy practice in the Riverina where she met her husband Greg. Moving to Sydney for Greg's work, she worked in small animal practice and emergency practice at one of the leading specialist small animal hospitals. She then completed her PhD in Cattle Nutrition through the University of Sydney. Moving to Wingello on 200 acres in 2003, she started working again in mixed practice before relocating to Perth as a Production Animal Lecturer specialising in Cattle Medicine and Surgery, Nutrition and Veterinary Obstetrics at Murdoch University College of Veterinary Medicine. In 2014, the family came back to the farm at Wingello. Her 4 children attend local primary and high schools and are enjoying growing up in a lovely rural community. Liz has been working in mixed practice in the Southern Highlands before opening Cooinda Vet Hospital in December 2015.
Liz enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery of both small and large animals. She has a specific passion in the education of clients to better understand their animals needs and health problems. Liz is also a nutrition consultant to Production Animals and can provide advice on rations, drought feeding livestock and other general management issues.
