Yandina State School is a growing school of approximately 350 students located on School Road, Yandina. The school prides itself on over 135 years of education and community involvement. Yandina State School is part of the North Coast Region and is a co-educational facility catering for students from Prep Year to Year 6. Class organisation comprises mainly of single-age (straight) year levels and a small number of composite classrooms. In 2023 students are allocated across 15 classes.

The AJ Saxophone & Clarinet Academy is owned and managed by Annie Jackson, an experienced professional teacher of Saxophone and Clarinet. Annie studied Saxophone and Clarinet at Sydney Conservatorium of Music (B.Mus.Ed ) and has had 30 years of teaching experience, 20 in Sydney where she was held in the highest regard not only as a teacher of Saxophone and Clarinet but also as an acclaimed conductor. Her students were of the highest caliber with 15 of them chosen to play in the Sydney Olympic bands in 2000 and she was always in demand. As a conductor her greatest accomplishment was when of her bands (Mackellar Girls High School) was invited to play at the Sydney Schools Spectacular for 2 years running with one other band (Chatswood High School) Incidently she also taught most of the Saxophone and Clarinet students at both of these schools. In 2005 she moved up to the Sunshine Coast with her family and then spent the last 10 years at NCC where she developed their Saxophone and Clarinet students to an unheard of standard within the schools history. Annie's students were stand out at Sunshine Coast Junior Eisteddfods every year with individuals and groups constantly receiving places for their amazing performances. Australian Music Exams (AMEB ) are a strong focus for Annie and she will take your child to where they want to go musically. She has put over 500 + students through AMEB exams from grade 2- A.Mus.A. Many of her students have completed their A.Mus.A (Associate of Music) while at school and she has taken many more into Conservatorium level. You are in safe hands with this experienced teacher, your child will love her exciting approach to learning and embrace music in a positive and caring environment.

...Tom Johnson Tom's career spans over 25 years. He graduated in 1991 with an Honours degree in Music and Video Business, from the prestigious Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. While developing his skills Tom worked with world class acts, engineers, producers and crew. He worked the live stage circuit for many years before focusing on studio work and production. Working extensively in both Phoenix, Arizona and Tampa Bay, Florida, studio sound and engineering kept him busy before affairs of the heart drew him to our shores in 2004. Tom has recorded 100's of artists and bands over the years, and is always ready to help with a project. Tom is a lifelong musician specializing on the drums. He has been a drummer since he was 5 years old and has played 100's of gigs and been in countless bands. Today he is currently drumming in The Fare Evaders. A band of friends who have a great time. He also is a hired gun in the studio to help with projects. yes he can do both!
