Emmaville Mining Museum

Carol says this wonderful museum is a must-see when in Tamworth. There are videos showing how Werris Creek played such an important part of the history of Australia. People who are interested in it and the Australian Railways should visit this place. Carol says she's very interested in this museum since she's an Australian who lives abroad. She wants to see how much the Werris Creek township played such a vital part of the history and this site should be promoted more. Carol says they've got wonderful volunteers too.

Australian Railway Monument & Rail Journeys Museum

My friend and I visited the Museum on Tuesday afternoon. We were pleasantly surprised as to how many entrants there was. We took our time examining each painting and we discussed the clever portraits and really enjoyed our visit. We called in to Newling Gardens for a hot cuppa as the cafe at NEARM was closed. Mind you it was after 4 when we asked if the cafe was still open. A delightful time spent with a good friend. The heaters were on and it was very cosy in there. Outside it was 3 degrees.
