The Maleny History Preservation & Restoration Society collects and preserves the history of Maleny for future generations. The Historical Village is also the home of the Maleny Men's Shed and Blackall Range Horseless Carriage Club. We hold events throughout the year including an annual Pioneer Day and Country Music Day. We also host other public functions as well as catering for bus trips, family reunions and events, (birthdays) and family research. Our village has two historical houses, Priscilla Cottage and the Lawley house which are open to the public on special days and if requested.

A folk museum which comprises 8 buildings in Bligh street. The rise & Shine Cottage, previously shops then a residence, displays a parlour, bedroom, general store & photographs, also documents relating to mining, forestry, dairying, town, school and family history.

Warra Progress and Heritage Society Inc, nestled in the charming town of Warra, is dedicated to preserving local history and heritage. Embracing the spirit of community, our projects bring people together. A recent Significance Assessment declared our park an Historical Precinct, housing historical gems such as the old Railway Station, former Haystack School, quaint Warra jail, heritage Windmill, and vintage Tractor and Plough.
