The TOP 10 BEST Motels in Federal QLD for 2023

Driving through Gympie on what was a very long journey we stopped in to the Shady Rest Motel for a good nights sleep and let the kids stretch their legs. Pleasantly surprised at how accomodating and comfortable a stay we had. Judy was lovely and showed us to our unit, kids flipped when they saw the pool so we all had a lovely cool break on our great adventure. If you need a place to stay, don't look past Shady Rest Motel....a great place to stay!

I travel regularly from state to state and want to recommend Shady Rest Motel to any other travellers. Wes and Judy Hickey run a really good motel. They give great and friendly service, their place is really close to town and it is very well priced. Thanks guys, I will use you again into the future.

Very spacious rooms, surrounded by fast food restaurants. It's definitely the best place to stay around here for an overnight stay or for a long stay. Very comfortable.

Travelling through town we had the pleasure of staying in the Gympie Muster Inn and enjoyed the break so much we decided to stay another night. The staff here are so lovely and very accomodating. The rooms were quite spacious and very clean and well kept. The kids were very happy with the free wifi, and we spent quite a lot of time in the pool (stinking hot day - one of the reasons we stayed an extra night). Gympie seems like a lovely country town, enjoyed our stay here immensely <3

A last minute quick getaway landed us in Caribbean Noosa Apartments. My husband and I just needed some alone time and this was quite the place to relax. It was nice and close to all the restaurants and shops on Hastings Street and situated right on the water. We were able to hire kayaks and spent a beautiful day cruising around the beautiful waters. Everything you need, just at a reach. The staff were lovely, the pool nice and refreshing. Everything was just what we needed. Happy to recommend your accomodation to our friends.

I would definitely recommend Tiaro Tourist Stopover as a reasonably priced, excellent place to stay in Maryborough/ Hervey Bay area. The cabins are exceptionally well presented and clean. Fully self contained and the staff are really great to deal with, very helpful. Big rooms and bathroom with easy access for wheelchairs. Local shops and eateries close by.

A great place to stay. The staff are lovely and do their best to accomodate. Tea/coffee in the rooms, pool and air-con....what more could one need. Nice comfortable rooms and not too pricey either. If ever we are back this way again, will be sure to stay at the Shady Rest Motel again. Thanks for a lovely stress free stay.

The location here is stunning and sooooo relaxing. A few days get away for the little family has been amazing. We had no need to travel far from our accomodation, kids spent most of the time paddling about in the nearby canal and there was loads of fantastic places to eat within walking distance. Rooms really had that beachy feel about them, love that holiday atmosphere. Hope to visit with my tribe again soon.
