Will Corby was employed in 1986 as the business' first apprentice. Working together, Wayne, Warren and Will developed strong professional relationships through both Wayne and Warren providing guidance to Will. Will completed his apprenticeship with Kempster's in 1991 before heading to Sydney and then Europe where he continued to work as a Refrigeration Mechanic. With Wayne's retirement in 2007 and Will's return to Mackay, Will purchased the business and continues to offer the same high standard of service and workmanship to new and existing customers. Today the business is known as Kempster Commercial Refrigeration. Will and Warren continue to be the driving force behind the business, providing invaluable experience and knowledge to younger team members to ensure KCR provides quality, reliable service to all their customers. KCR employs 12 staff and is committed to employing apprentices now and into the future, recognising the need for ongoing training for young people. KCR also sponsors various community clubs and associations, to give back to the Mackay community that has supported the business for the last 35+ years.
