Extremely happy with results

I have been coming to this massage therapist for several years now and there were many times when I was struggling with horrific muscle pain & Keishi was the only therapist to provide relief. So happy I am now more active. Keishi always asks if I have specific problems & if so he addresses that area, bringing great relief. He also operates in a professional manner as well as very prompt and provides a complete service. You can also claim 60% of the cost from private health but make sure you check this prior to seeing him. The refund is done immediately after my treatment so no waiting around or filling out forms etc, I only have to pay a small gap. I have endured many so called remedial massages but not one comes anywhere near the standard Keishi provides. He asks, he listens attentively and applies treatment accordingly.

Holistic healthcare at it's best!

I am a 43 year old male who has worked in the hospitality industry for most of my life. I've seen many healthcare practitioners over the years to address the lifelong problems associated with Legg-Calve-Perthes disease, a degenerative bone condition which developed in one of my hips during childhood. After many years enduring the pain and stress caused by this condition, including severe osteoarthritis, I finally received a total hip replacement. This sorted out the pain in my hip but didn't address the problems associated with such a long term condition. My skeletal and muscular systems were out of balance after years of favouring my left side. In fact, my entire body/nervous/digestive systems were wrecked after several corrective surgical procedures and years of taking pharmaceutical drugs. The end result was a complete physical, emotional and mental breakdown which left me feeling hopelessly depressed, anxious and completely incapable of functioning normally. I was extremely fortunate to have then received a course of treatments from Robert. Robert's intuitive and holistic approach to healing, together with his many years of experience, coupled with a plethora of qualifications adorning the walls of his clinic provided me with exactly what I needed to get on with my life. I am now studying full-time to achieve a lifelong dream of becoming a nutritional therapist, I am able to ride a bike and run again, I can confidently enjoy a social life now that my depression is under control and my general health and wellbeing is better than it's been since my 20's. Thank you so very much Robert. My only regret is that I'd not met a holistic healthcare professional like yourself 20 years ago!

Common questions about massage therapists

How often should I get a massage?

It varies from person to person. If you are just looking for some occasional relaxation, then a session every 3-6 weeks may be fine for you.

How will I feel after my massage treatment?

Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience a significant decrease or freedom from long-term aches and pains.

Do I have to be fully undressed for a massage?

Your massage therapist will direct you to undress to your underwear or a level that is comfortable for you. A towel is always used to maintain your modesty.

Do I have to cover myself with a sheet or towel?

This is known as draping and depends on the therapist and in some cases, the law. The vast majority of therapists will insist on draping.

What should I expect during my first massage therapy visit?

Before a massage, you’ll complete a medical history form and be asked a few questions to assess your needs. And then it’s time to relax.

If I want a really deep massage shouldn't I see a male therapist?

No. It’s a matter of style, training, and therapist preference. Some therapists prefer not to give really deep sessions.

How many sessions will I need?

Honestly, it’s hard to say. Every person is unique and every condition is unique to each person. It may take one session or it may take several.

How long will a massage treatment last?

The average full-body massage treatment lasts approximately one hour. A half-hour appointment only allows time for a partial massage session.

Will the massage hurt?

This depends on the type of massage and the depth of the strokes. A light, relaxing massage that doesn't probe deep into the muscles, shouldn't hurt.

What do I do during a massage treatment?

Make yourself comfortable. If your therapist wants you to adjust your position, she/he will either move you or will ask you to move what is needed.
