Nyushido is a style of fighting that uses many different martial arts. Sensei Troy Thomson has trained in a number of styles in his 25 years experience in martial arts. He started with Karate- jutsu in 1982, switching to Taekwondo & kick boxing through the 90's and Hansoodo in 2001. Sensei Troy Holds Dan Ranks in more than one discipline, he has earned Trainer and Refereeing levels as well as Instructor Certificates in several styles. Nyushido Combat Bu-Jutsu combines several martial arts to create a system of fight that flows from one technique to the next, with a strong stand up kick Boxing style to a Ju-Jutsu style take-down, throwing & locking system

At our academies you will learn the same techniques taught at the Gracie Academy in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The same techniques that are now being taught to the U.S. Army, FBI, DEA, Secret Service and many more elite military and law enforcement agencies around the world. As well as learning a proven method of self defence, training in Gracie Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts will boost your strength, conditioning, flexibility and general health levels to their peak. Competition is completely optional for any student, but for those looking to test themselves we successfully train competitors in Grappling Tournaments and Mixed Martial Arts events. Our student base includes many Jiu Jitsu Champions and Professional Mixed Martial Arts fighters. We are a full time martial arts centre. We cater to all students. We have special classes suited to children, as well as classes for teens through to adults. We train Kempo, Karate, Weapons, MMA and Self Defence. We are a complete art that covers all bases. We recognise students who have previously trained, you don't have to start at white belt under our organisation Your rank will be recognised. We are well equipped to train with all learning difficulties, we believe in no barriers.
