Krav Maga Newcastle is a training centre for children, men and women that has been operating since February 2002. We are a team of qualified instructors who teach Krav Maga, a form of self-defence. Newcastle Aikikai provides high-quality instruction in the martial arts of Aikido and Iaido, and the Zen Buddhist practice of Zazen meditation. Our dojo is a dedicated, full-time Aikido dojo in Newcastle, two hours north of Sydney. It is one of few full-time martial arts spaces in the Newcastle/Hunter region. We have an established overseas network in the United States, United Kingdom and Japan, and aim to practise in a progressive and mindful way. We welcome beginners and experienced students alike, from all styles and denominations. We encourage casual visitors as well as those martial artists who are keen to broaden their horizons and experience Aikido as passed down by Professor TK Chiba Shihan, one of the original uchideshi of Aikido's founder, Morihei Ueshiba.

At our academies you will learn the same techniques taught at the Gracie Academy in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The same techniques that are now being taught to the U.S. Army, FBI, DEA, Secret Service and many more elite military and law enforcement agencies around the world. As well as learning a proven method of self defence, training in Gracie Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts will boost your strength, conditioning, flexibility and general health levels to their peak. Competition is completely optional for any student, but for those looking to test themselves we successfully train competitors in Grappling Tournaments and Mixed Martial Arts events. Our student base includes many Jiu Jitsu Champions and Professional Mixed Martial Arts fighters. With a relaxed, safe, enjoyable and ego-free training environment you'll always look forward to your next lesson!
