Defence Academy are martial arts specialists located right here on the Sunshine Coast. We offer traditional karate for both juniors and seniors, womens self defence courses, security training, personal fitness training, yoga and meditation. Our karate style is Aishin-Kai, full contact karate which includes SABAKI. This is the use of 'body shifting' which when accompanied with Aishin-Kai karate, creates a powerful, in close style of martial arts. Your black belt instructor controls all training for both juniors and seniors so safety and personal interest is taken for each student to ensure a positive outcome. Our womens self defence courses are designed to empower women with the ability to protect themselves and their loved ones. We teach you simple, effective techniques that you can use from day one without constant practise. Security training certification is offered to those interested which includes open hand techniques, bodyguard training and possible introduction to work. Yoga is a great addition to martial arts training as core strength is desired for maximum performance and power. Our in-house yoga can provide both power and balance to your life. Personal fitness trainers are fantastic for both weight loss and emproved fitness. Train with us and achieve your desired outcome. Meditation is for your mind, the control center and the most powerful weapon we have. Learn control for relaxation, recovery and direction.
