Choi Kwang-Do is a martial art which has been developed as a practical means of self-defence with your wellbeing in mind. Our martial art is a safe, non contact, easier to learn and effective means of self defense, which takes a holistic approach to maintaining your health through exercise and healthy living. Furthermore our art promotes traditional values and life principles which we have all come to expect from the martial arts.

Kyokushin Karate training for Children 7+, Teens and Adults. Come and learn Kyokushin Karate, that is steep in tradition and discipline. Small in numbers but Mighty in spirit OSU Kyokushin karate was founded by the late Sosai Masutatsu Oyama (1923-1994). Who, after many years of rigorous training in various fighting styles, formed his own style and decided on the name derived from ‘kyoku’ meaning ultimate or extreme and ‘shin’ meaning truth. The ideals of Sosai were to overcome your own presupposed physical limitations and attain a level of ‘truth’ in yourself and your karate forged by hard training.

We are a Martial Arts academy focusing on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (no-gi), Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Muay Thai kickboxing, and general fitness. We also have a dedicated kids program called Mini Samurai that teaches the Martial Arts disciplines in a friendly fun atmosphere for children aged 5 and above. Our coaches have many years of combat experience in multiple martial art disciplines. The coaches provide a second-to-none martial arts experience in an easy learning environment. Everyone is welcome and no experience is necessary. We are not a dedicated fight gym and encourage everyone to try our classes.
