Since 1988 Koala Farms has produced and distributed a wide variety of macadamia nut products.

Established in 1989 Waliz Nuts has been producing the highest quality Australian macadamias out of the picturesque town of Newrybar in the Byron hinterland. The farm’s history goes back to the mid-1980s when the Hudson family bought a small acreage and spent their first summer planting the first 3000 trees. Owners Paul and Liz have continued to build on the strong reputation of the family business, bringing their own passion and expertise as they raise their four young children on the farm ensuring the legacy of producing the highest quality macadamias continues. Waliz Nuts is an independent family-owned and run macadamia processor with industry-leading technology in our Newrybar factory. We supply bulk macadamia Nut in Shell and kernel to clients across Australia and ship overseas to Asia, the Americas, the Middle East, and Europe.

Alstonville Steel specialises in the design and fabrication of equipment used specifically for a variety of nuts grown in our region. Equipment can be customised to suit your needs, whether you are a small farm just starting out or a major producer requiring larger-capacity machinery. Established more than 25 years ago, Alstonville Steel was initially based around structural steel manufacturing. We saw a growth in the farming of macadamia nuts and a need for support in fabricating specialty equipment. We began designing and fabricating a range of processing and drying equipment for not only macadamia nuts, but also pecans, walnuts and cashews. Alstonville Steel services an extensive region, from North Queensland to NSW Mid Coast. We assist with all macadamia nut equipment manufacturing, servicing and repairs throughout all of these areas.
