Newmarket Saddlery is a family owned and operated Australian business that began in 1864 by W & H Williams. Wayne Walker started out his love for horses at a young age, and eventually started his apprenticeship with Newmarket Saddlery in 1969, and bought the business 3 years later. During this time Newmarket Saddlery was prodominantly a wholesale and manufacturing company, making Australian made saddles, bridle wear and other strapping.

Here at Bedwells Feed Barn we pride ourselves on being a local family owned and operated business, with over 30 years industry experience with two locations Bathurst and Wallerawang. At our Bathurst location we create and blend our own stock feed in house, Check out our Products tab to see our range. Not only are we your one stop stock feed and saddlery shop we are blessed with friendly staff that come from agricultural backgrounds, they are knowledgeable with a direct passion in Harness Racing, Show Horses and Endurance riding. I needed to make a horse rug for my individual assignment for Tocal College. I am studying Cert 3 in Agriculture. I visited Mrs Bourke and Angela to possibly get some guidance and ideas on making my horse rug. Through their generosity and knowledge they gave me the opportunity to use their workshop to make my Rug. Mrs Bourke’s only stipulation was that they would teach me, but I was to to complete it myself, which I am happy about as I learnt so much. I am grateful for their time and patience and for sharing their knowledge. If you need a horse rug of any kind or mending of your horse rug Bourke’s Horse Rugs, Bathurst is the place to go.
