I first saw the advertisment on this cottage in the senior magazine a few years ago. I got in touch with the lady who handles this quaint cottage in Tin Can Bay, asked lots of questions to her and decided last year to book a holiday for a week. The cottage is about 4 houses from the water. In other words I loved being there. The cottage has everything you need for a break away from home. It does not have a bath in the bathroom but has a lovely shower. The toilet is in a separate room, there is a great laundry with a full size washing machine. There is also a back verandah, which is great and you can sit out there either on a bench seat or on chairs which are out there. If you do not want to sit out the back, there is a front verandah running right across the front of the house. The cottage has air conditioning in the lounge room or you can put on the fans thru the main bedroom ( queen bed) is very comfortable, or in the kitchen dining area. Surfside is a small, private complex of 12 beach houses, located in Rainbow Beach, 3 hours north of Brisbane. The Complex was designed by award-winning Architect, Lindsay Clare. The 4 story townhouses are nestled in amongst natural vegetation, and designed to catch the gentle sea breezes that blow in off the Pacific Ocean. There is a private pathway that leads through the bush to the beach which is just 120 metres from the complex. The top viewing deck looks out over the lush bushland, clean sandy beaches and clear blue water. This secret hideaway offers peace and privacy, plus excellent accommodations for up to 8 people. The main entrance is on the ground level, and contains a large bedroom with a queen size bed, roomy ensuite and TV. The bedroom opens out onto a deck area that is boarded by bushland. On the second level, we have 3 large bedrooms and a full-size bathroom with large bathtub. Then we travel up to the third level where we find an open-plan living, dining, kitchen area that opens out onto the balcony. The top level has been designed to take full advantage of the amazing views, with a deck area furnished with tables and chairs. The rooms are generously sized with polished wooden flooring and air conditioning. Each 4-bedroom house sleeps 8 people, with 2 Queen Size beds and 4 single beds. The living room has a TV and DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher and microwave and full-size oven. A separate laundry with washing machine and dryer is located on the ground level. The gardens include a large in-ground salt water swimming pool with an adjacent BBQ area with tables and chairs. Each house has parking for 2 cars. The houses are completely private and peaceful in a natural bush setting with no adjacent housing, with a private path to the beach, which is only 120m away.

Such a great spot for a holiday with family or friends. Very close to the beach, as well as being a quick walk to town and the nearby Restaurant.
