We were given great advice when we started our building renovation. "Hire a building consultant" who is independent from the building company we engaged to carry out the work. An independent building consultant will help you: 1. A.S. are met 2. If variations are implied, your consultant can tell you if they really do need to be implemented or can suggest a workaround 3. Help you understand your legal rights 4. Help you understand building principles and regulations 5. Peace of mind We hired Stuart as our consultant and on one occasion our builder tried to hit us with a $14,000 additional fee that I thought we would definitely have to come up with. My wife said let's get Stuart. He met us on site, he showed us an alternative that cost us a total of $1,260 including Stuart's fees. What a saving! Stuart is a brilliant building consultant.

We were extremely happy with the paint work that Classic Coatings performed on the interior of our home. They were very professional and helpful during our consultation appointment. We were given advice on choosing colours, and for keeping the job within budget. The staff were even able to schedule the work to fit into our very tight schedule. We highly recommend this business and will hire them again for other painting projects.

We can not praise the Evans Painting Contractors team enough. The hard work put in to restore our 1930's Double Gable Queenslander was unbelievable. It was a huge job, and the team surpassed our expectations. The attention to detail and workmanship was wonderful.
