My Mental Health has been established by David & Simona Hunter to serve Townsville and surrounding community. Offering Addiction Coaching, Family Therapy, Couples & Marriage counselling, Creative Arts Therapy, SandPlay, Youth in Crisis and Mental Health Therapy. David served as the COO of a residential treatment center for the past decade. He has extensive training and personal experience as a recovered addict. He was addiction for 21 years to drugs, alcohol and sex. He has been sober for 10 years and committed his life to helping others overcome addiction. Simona has established herself as a source of support for women in difficult relationships, partnered with addicts and experiencing abuse. She has worked with families of abuse and specialises with children. Both have worked hard rebuilding their marriage of 20+ years and have the experience and training to help couples build amazing relationships. My Mental Health is flexible to meet your needs and is open 6 days a week.

PoDDSS provides support coordination and behavioural support for people with a disability through NDIS funding. Support coordination is an NDIA program that helps participants build a network of funded supports to realise their goals and live a connected life within their community. The participant can select their preferred coordinator who will help manage other supports and relationships. Behavioural support provides structured behavioural assessments under the Disability Act 2006. These assessments offer proactive and reactive strategies, as well as Positive Behavioural Support Plans (PBSP), for those under NDIS funding. This may also involve training of formal and informal supports, providing sensory advice or assisting the primary person to access other communication that supports social skills, independence and progress towards their life goals and aspirations. The social skills program involves picture-based communication, role play, mindfulness exercises and small group learning situations. Our training programs are available for anyone who wishes to have a foundation knowledge and understanding to providing support. We also offer mentoring for people requiring assistance or supervision when meeting support needs. At PoDDSS, we will do what we can to support you offering a person-centred service with respect, honesty and transparency in every plan we provide. We believe that the participant, their family and support network should be actively involved in decisions that will impact their lives. Our staff come from a variety of backgrounds, working for people with a disability and helping them achieve their goals.

Sarah Jorgensen's style of teaching focusses on breath and posture awareness, strengthening the mind and body in a way that feels good for the body and the soul. Where to find Sarah teaching��. Sarah teaches in various places around Alligator Creek and Townsville. Sarah is also available to conduct Private and small group sessions from her home in Alligator Creek- or other locations as arranged.
