Transformed my hair

If I could rate this a six star I would! Kerrie is an amazing and talented hairdresser and has helped bring my blonde hair back to life. After moving from Melbourne to Airlie Beach, I went to see a hairdresser in town who over processed my hair colour. My hair was left damaged and snapping off. It was in such poor condition, when I thought I'd try Kebello Salon on Shingly Drive. Kerrie was really helpful and advised me the best way to get my hair healthy again. She used quality products and colours which really made a difference, and I started cutting my hair more regularly to help. A couple of years later and my hair is healthy and thick again, thanks to Kerrie!

Common questions about hairdressers

Will going dark to blonde damage my hair?

This can be a slow process and regular maintenance is key to helping minimise hair breakage. Find a good colourist.

I’m sick of curling my hair. Can I get permanent waves?

Some hair salons do offer perms, with modern techniques creating beach waves rather than ringlets.

Do I need to wash my hair everyday?

Washing your locks everyday may reduce the amount of nutrients on your scalp and dull the natural glow of your hair.

I’m trying to grow out my pixie cut. What can I do?

Get your hair trimmed regularly to tame and even awkward strands. This helps shape your hair as it grows.

How can I tame thick hair?

Ask your hairdresser about what kind of shampoos, conditioners, hair masks, smoothing crèmes and styling tools to use.

How can I explain to my barber what I want?

Ask for a taper cut (hair gets shorter from head down), a point cut (spiky) or a blunt cut (all hair at even length).

How do I look after my hair extensions?

Rinse in cold water, use heat styling tools as little as possible and avoid using dry shampoo and hair spray.

What are bond multipliers?

They’re products that multiply and repair bonds. Some salons use brands like Olaplex to help lighten/colour hair without damaging it.

What is dip dye hair?

Similar to ombre, it gives your hair a faded appearance, using vibrant fashion hair colours. Consult your colourist and ask about upkeep.

What should I use to maintain dyed red hair?

Avoid anti-dandruff or deep cleansing shampoo and stick to products designed for coloured hair.
