Not a Cafe is a retail outlet located in Wingham on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales selling products made in the local region. The shop is designed to assist local creative people sell their wares without huge mark ups. This enables our locals to have a quicker turnover of product so they can continue their creativity. The shop also provides our youth with an outlet to sell the things they've made and encourage their creativity. Products include art, photography, books, music CDs, jewellery, clothing, woodwork, metalwork, toys, craft and more. New items arrive into store weekly and lots of the products are 'one offs' so if you're looking for a unique item for yourself or for someone special, you'll have a good chance of finding it at Not a Cafe. On occasion you'll find a local musician playing in store or artisan demonstrating their skills. You're more than welcome to browse through the shop, kick back on a lounge and absorb the artwork or just hang out in the music room listening to local music.

We started our Taree homemade soap business, Kate The Soap Lady, when we visited local markets and recognised a need for quality, natural, handmade soap. Our handmade artisan soap is made in small batches, using the traditional cold process method, and is sold at local Mid North Coast markets. We also sell our great range of products through our online shop and local retailers. Our handmade goat's milk soap and vegetable oil based soap, is in every sense soap in its purest form without chemical additives.
