Cairns District Junior Rugby League is the home of your kid's local rugby competition. With 15 local clubs participating in the competition and a number of teams in each division from under 6s through to under 16s, we have all of the fixtures, results, and ladders to keep you up to date. Our coaches are committed to teaching your children the rules and regulations of rugby league to ensure they're at the top level of the competition. Local Rugby League Competition covering Cairns - from Mossman to Tully & the Atherton Tablelands

Northern Pride is a Rugby League Football Club that exists to provide opportunities and pathways for Far North Queensland locals to progress to the elite level from their own backyard. We have a proud history. In 2010, the Club defeated the Norths Devils to win the Intrust Super Cup for the first time, while in 2013 they won the Intrust Super Cup minor premiership for the first time ever. In 2014, the Pride enjoyed its greatest ever season, winning the minor premiership for the second year in a row, before going on to claim success in the Intrust Super Cup Grand Final against Easts Tigers and then the inaugural NRL State Championship against VB NSW Cup premiers Penrith Panthers - an unprecedented treble. As a testament to the strength of Rugby League in Far North Queensland, the club's 'Growing the Future Now' ethos was shown to be successful when 95% of the 2010 premiership side, and 90% of the 2014 premiership side, originated from Far North Queensland. The Pride also runs a highly successful junior Academy program, which has seen youngsters such as Ben Hampton (Melbourne Storm) excel at NRL level, while also creating pathways for senior players including Hezron Murgha, Joel Riethmuller, Ethan Lowe (all North Queensland Cowboys), Blake Leary (Manly Sea Eagles), Davin Crampton (Gold Coast Titans), Shaun Nona (Melbourne Storm) and Graham Clarke (Canterbury Bulldogs).

Established at Barlow Park in late October, the Cairns Northern Beaches Mudcrabs Rugby Union Club emerged from a gathering of passionate individuals seeking to revolutionise rugby participation in Cairns and Far North Queensland. Recognising the necessity for a Rugby Union Club in the Northern Beaches of Cairns, the club aims to uphold professionalism both on and off the field, spanning from Machans Beach to Palm Cove. Their goal? To compete in the esteemed Cairns District Rugby Union A Grade Competition by 2014. Collaborating with key stakeholders, they've embarked on a journey to cultivate an impactful brand and a compelling vision for the community.
