Excellent food and it's all msg free which is sooo hard to find on the Gold Coast :) great service. Like all menus some things you like some you don't, they don't make their recipes like a normal Chinese restaurant. There's things I love things I don't but saying that the same things I don't like my husband loves.

From an overall restaurant perspective the Fireplace is quite expensive considering the quality of the food, but as a restaurant in an Intercontinental resort it is OK. For a fine dining restaurant the bench style tables seem out of place, but then this did not detract from the experience. The service was variable. The actual style of cooking was good, and we enjoyed our main dishes. Desserts were passable but not superb. Overall we found the food quite good, but the overall experience left us a bit cool.

Excellent food and it's all msg free which is sooo hard to find on the Gold Coast :) great service. Like all menus some things you like some you don't, they don't make their recipes like a normal Chinese restaurant. There's things I love things I don't but saying that the same things I don't like my husband loves.

Alot of food choices, it is a Tavern so if you expect just that you'll be happy, nice water view with boats. It's a good atmosphere.
