We opened the doors in 2004 to our first restaurant in Hawthorn, VIC. Healthy burgers (including plant-based options for our veggie loving friends) are now on the menu. From day one we’ve walked the walk turning this belief into a daily practice. It’s how we did it back then and how we still do it today, the Grill’d Kotara way. Making burgers doesn’t make us the same as fast food. We’re not their alternative. We are the solution. Guilt-free, healthy burgers you don’t need a hangover for. It’s been our focus, our passion, our point of difference since the beginning. Sourcing grass-fed beef and lamb has always been our priority, in 2010 we achieved this for 100% of our supply. We’ve used cage free eggs since the beginning, but in 2011 our friends at RSPCA awarded us the Good Egg Award – just to make it official. The Low Carb SuperBun lands on our menu and our carb-counting friends rejoiced. Sourcing RSPCA Approved chicken became our new normal.

Greek cuisine is Mediterranean cuisine, making wide use of vegetables, olive oil, grains, seafood, wine and meat. The Greek Taverna is Newcastle’s very own authentic Greek restaurant, offering traditional Greek cuisine, imported Greek drinks and homemade sweets, in a family friendly environment. Creating traditional homemade meals from the freshest local and imported ingredients of vegetables, seafood, meat and grains with delicious flavours including olives, cheeses, garlic, lemon and herbs.

Up the railway station end of Beaumont Street in Hamilton - also known as Newcastle's Eat Street - is The Sydney Junction Hotel. Also known as SJ's, the Sydney Junction Hotel is a great Newcastle pub for having a drink and enjoying some entertainment in the main bar or beer garden, having a game of pool or a flutter on the TAB. For hungry diners the restaurant and cafe is great for lunch or dinner. If you're looking for a table for two, a table for a family feast or perhaps a venue for a private function, the Sydney Junction Hotel is perfect. For visitors or locals who want to party all night and head home in the morning, the Sydney Junction Hotel also offers boutique, hotel-style accommodation upstairs.
