I am native Japanese and experienced Japanese tutor (in both Japan and Australia six years), currently offering lessons to over 30 students every week in Illawarra. Lesson detail (fee, scedule and place) We can meet at a place which is convenient for both you and me, such as at library or UOW. Otherwise, I come over your place for lesson (If it's far, such as in Shellharbour or Kiama, I take additional $10 per lesson as a traveling cost). The one-on-one lesson costs $30 per hour. I accept fee via bank transaction, as I often don't have change when students pay me in cash, and also it's easier for me to manage fees as I have about 30 students every week. It would be appreciated if you could pay fees before each lesson, but please let me know if you prefer cash, and we'll sign contract if you are happy about the first lesson and wish to continue. Literacy We cater for students who need extra support in spelling, reading and writing. We include intensive phonics programs for students who have very poor spelling skills. School Holiday Programs We have intensive holiday programes for Primary and High School students. Essay Writing, Creative Writing, Automated Times Tables, Reading Support, Algebra and Study Skills courses available. NAPLAN We have a wide range of resources available to help students prepare for the NAPLAN tests. These include past test papers and practice questions. School Readiness Program Weekly classes focus on the pre-literacy skills, language proficiency, fine and gross motor control, proper handwriting skills, and pre-mathematical skills all rising Kindergarten students need. Correct handwriting skills, pre-emergent/ emergent literacy skills are important to learn correctly at a young age so bad habits are not formed. Maths We have set programs for students that cover number, measurement, space, chance and data, algebra and mathematical relationships. Students learn to apply skills to mathematical problems at a mastery level. Selective School Preparation This program is for children who are planning to sit a Selective School Exam. The program includes; Practice exams, test technique, question style analysis, time management skills, self-correction techniques and study skills.
