Our names are Jacek and Bozena and we are both qualified jewellers sharing between us over 70 years of passion for and work with jewellery. Our roots are in Europe where we were educated and trained in our profession by highly skilled masters. Our pursuit for excellence, education and desire to provide customers with the most professional service hasn't stopped, with Jacek achieving Master Jeweller Diploma followed by Advanced Diamond Grading Diploma, Diploma of Gemmology, Jewellery Valuers Diploma and Bozena achieving highest standards in the art of hand engraving and design. We feel privileged to have been chosen from hundreds of other competing businesses as finalists in the Service Excellence Awards several times and to have won this prestigious award in 2009.

Purdeys Jewellers Shepparton opened in Wyndham Street in May 1969, with Frank Purdey and son in law Stewart Lynas, at the helm. Mr Purdey, who began his career in the trade as a watchmaker in 1929, retired in 1976. Stewart graduated as a qualified Gemmologist and registered valuer and went on to establish a 2nd and 3rd store in Victoria, and coastal NSW. In 1994, history repeated itself, with son in law Michael Kearney joining the family business and establishing Purdeys Benalla store. Stewart and Michael’s wives, Pam and Jo, are very active in the selection and creation of Purdeys fine jewellery. Today Michael, who is a internationally qualified Diamond grader and jewellery designer, continues on in charge of the operation along side his wife Jo. Over half a century Purdeys has earned itself a reputation as a trusted local jeweller, well qualified to meet the many needs of its customers. Purdeys is renowned for its expertise in creative design styles, which they combine to create an outstanding international selection of “beautiful Jewellery” and fine watches.

Stephens Jewellers Shepparton is a family-based business established in Shepparton, Victoria in 1994 by Stephen and Michelle Schneider, who are still actively involved in the business. However, the roots of the business go back three generations. Michelle’s Grandfather Arthur Gerrard, a watch maker by trade, established Gerrard’s the Jewellers – one of Shepparton’s first jewellery stores – in 1951. Stephen & Michelle originally traded as Shepparton Showcase Jewellers, and have established the business as a destination in the Goulburn Valley over a period of 20 years. In 1997 they opened their second store at Shepparton Marketplace, a busy 7-day shopping destination. Stephen has travelled extensively internationally and participated in extensive technical training to build an in-depth knowledge of diamonds and precious stones. Stephens Jewellers now boasts an international network of global diamond merchants and jewellery designers enabling us to bring the world’s best jewellery design practice and competitive buying to our business.
