Thank you so much!

The most enjoyable experience! Iris, my instructor taught me a lot of valuable skills, she is so patient, very professional and without her I would have not being so successful. Thank you so much!

Fantastic Driving school

Very good service and knowledgable staff. They did a great job assisting me with HR non synchromesh licence test. Staff a very nice, caring and experienced. You are tested and instructed by the business owners who run a thorough two day course. Take your time and do it properly, get a licence and be trained to drive well with ABC Driving School.

Common questions about driving schools

How many lessons can I book with the driving school?

You can book as many as you like. The first 10 lessons will count as 30 hours toward your logbook and then one lesson will count for one hour.

Can I only drive during the day on a learner licence?

There are no restrictions, however you may be required to complete a certain number of hours at night depending on the state you’re in.

What must I do to obtain my Provisional license?

You must complete 100 hours of driving with an instructor, parent or guardian followed by a practical test with the driving school of your choice.

Can I take my driving lessons in my own vehicle?

Yes. It’s best to familiarise yourself with your own car before getting out on the road on your own.

The place to find the best driving schools in Central Coast.

Freedom. That’s what comes with having a licence. Being able to finally drive to the shops, your friend's place or to the movies by yourself. Getting a broad range of driving experiences is the best way to become a good driver, but you also need a good instructor. The Central Coast has a range of highly qualified and experienced driving instructors able to teach you the appropriate laws and techniques to make you a fantastic driver. To go from your learner to your probationary licence in NSW you need to complete 120 hours of supervised driving, with 20 of that at night. While this will get you experience, learning from a tutor will put you on the right track and teach you the laws that your friends or family may forget to tell you. Central Coast driving instructors deal with learner drivers full-time, which means they also deal with P-plate tests. As a result they have inside knowledge of the routes that are often taken and the testers themselves. These tips can help you refine the types of manoeuvres—like the dreaded 3-point turn—you need to focus on in your practices. Instructors will also advise you on the inner workings of your car, from the basics like indicators and safety lights, to the workings of gears in a manual car. Driving schools reduce the overall time you need to spend driving to get your licence. Each hour you spend driving with a licensed driving instructor counts for 3 in your logbook. This only applies for the first 10 hours of professionally instructed driving and will account for up to 30 hours of driving time in your logbook. This is a simple way to get both quality experience and reduce the overall hours you need to drive before applying for your driver's licence. Many Central Coast driving schools also offer age assessment, international licence conversions and refresher courses. These offer a great way to get yourself back onto the road or to keep yourself up to date with current road laws. Aged refresher courses become a necessary requirement for drivers over 85 years of age. Driving schools are often able to assist or implement the bi-annual driving tests to pass government requirements. Standard refresher courses are also available, so if you haven’t driven for a while you can refresh your driving experience and learn any new or changed road rules. Feeling comfortable with your instructor is important. Central Coast driving schools offer a variety of male and female instructors who ensure your driving lesson is calm and educational. Asking a few simple questions like pass rate, number of lessons recommended and experience can help you gauge whether they are the right instructor for you. When your time to learn to drive approaches, make sure you get the best start you can with a local Central Coast driving school. The qualified instructors will make sure you understand the basics of your car and get you started on your journey to being a fully qualified driver.
