Their special bond developed early on. Flo needed someone to trust and to be able to communicate with. From developing hand signals, right through to advanced assistance skill training and off lead agility, Cam and Flo make quite a team! He would like all owners to be able to share an equally special bond with their dog . Cameron McKenzie is a National Dog Training Federation accredited trainer Certified in Dog Behaviour and Training. NDTF are the only accredited and nationally recognised Dog Trainer Certification programme in Australia. NDTF and their trainers are especially conscientious in keeping up to date with the latest research and science in all aspects of dog behaviour, training techniques and dog physiology. Cameron has spent years training and rehabilitating dogs with behavioural issues at Animal Refuge's here on the Sunshine Coast, and working with dogs and people in both group training classes and private consulting sessions. His passion for rehabilitating dogs continues to grow. Cam has recently been selected as one of the trainers for the Young Diggers Dog Squad Programme. The Young Diggers Dog Squad is helping to rehabilitate returned military service men and women who have suffered the mental and physical trauma of war, by training their own assistance dogs. At Young Diggers Cameron works with the veterans and their dogs and teaches them to become certified as handlers and assistance dogs. As well as educating people about dog behaviour Cam is also passionate about the importance of a healthy diet and its role in the physical and mental health of your dog. He's happy to offer advice about this to his clients. Cam is a deaf dog specialist and has developed a program for dog owners to better understand their deaf dog, including communication and training with hand signals.
