Saw Dr Hardcastle for back pain I sustained from a fall over 3 months ago. He was absolutely amazing and spent time explaining my pain going through scans etc. I have seen several doctors here and south and no other spent the time or care that he did. Thank you Dr

Friendly staff, from the front desk girl to the physiotherapist. Physician are professional, full of empathy and supportive. Hand by hand we achieve good results through physio and Hydro sessions. I really suggest Sam, Jack and Mikaila. They been able to support me physically and emotionally from the beginning of my trauma.

Dr. Albert Foreman's -ENT & GP Clinic

For 15 years under the health care and management as well as treatment of me and my mother Aurora Newman at the age of 95 yrs old , who passed away this year, we both had been very well attended to and they are all professional in this Center. I thank very much Dr. Tonga , how he looked after my mother"s health, medical needs and all of them in the center had always been kind and courteous to us both. The waiting hours l suppose may vary on how Dr Tonga attend to patients, review and check out previous records very well, take time to examine patients health concerns, and more on taking his time and evaluate which l never did experience with other doctors. He deals with patients in outmost care and attention He make sure that we feel so safe and confident on the medicines he prescribe and which we did not encounter any problems For 10 plus years, my mother and l have been very well taken care of like a family. I have high respect and highly recommend them.

Darwin City Medical Centre

Efficient, speedy, small clinic. A couple of doctors there may lack communication skills but I have nearly always consulted Dr Antony whom I find to be a real people person besides being able to address the issue quickly and effectively. Another thing I appreciate is his willingness to listen and give the patient credit in regards to describing their symptoms and wellbeing. This is quite rare as most doctors place themselves on a pedestal.

Top End Skin Cancer Care NT Stuart Park

I believe Dr Hauge's clinic is the best kept secret in Darwin. He is a humble family doctor who has been around for a long time and has a wealth of experience. I always feel reassured after visiting him. His clinic is upbeat and interesting - and the receptionists are mature and friendly - nothing is too much trouble for the doctor or the receptionists. A truly rewarding experience for anyone who is sick of being a number in the medical clinics.

I saw Dr. Sajan Talreja this Saturday morning. He was delightful, attentive and professional. His thorough history and examination led quickly to a diagnosis and treatment plan for a relatively minor but persistent problem. Thank you.

Doctor Naidoo has been the best doctor I have ever been to in Darwin. He takes time to listen and really cares about what you say, I felt he was not just filling out boxes in the computer. He gives excelent advice in when to see him again and it is clear with the diagnosis.

Frequently Asked Questions For Finding Doctors & Medical Centres Near The Gardens

How can I find out the cost of tests, medications and procedures before my visit?

When it comes to understanding the costs associated with your healthcare:

  • Direct Contact: Reach out directly to the doctors or medical centres in The Gardens to inquire about the costs of tests, medications and any procedures you may require.
  • Insurance Provider: Consult your insurance provider to understand what is covered under your plan and what out-of-pocket expenses you might expect.
  • Medicare Information: If applicable, check Medicare benefits for certain tests and procedures to gauge what financial support you might receive.
  • Ask About Payment Plans: Some providers offer payment plans or sliding scale fees based on income, which can make healthcare more affordable.

Taking these steps can help you manage the financial aspects of your healthcare more effectively.

How can I effectively communicate with my healthcare provider about my symptoms?

Effectively communicating with your healthcare provider is essential for your care. Here are condensed strategies for a productive discussion about your symptoms:

  1. Prepare and Be Specific: Write down your symptoms, including details like onset, frequency, and triggers. Describe the nature of your pain or discomfort with as much specificity as you can.
  2. Don’t Withhold Information: Mention all symptoms, even if they seem unrelated or embarrassing, and discuss any health concerns or fears you have. Your healthcare provider needs the full picture to provide the best care.
  3. Ask Questions and Seek Clarifications: If something about your condition or treatment plan isn’t clear, ask for an explanation. It’s important that you fully understand your health situation.
  4. Update Your Healthcare Provider: Inform them about any changes in your symptoms or if you experience new ones after your appointment. This information might necessitate adjustments to your diagnosis or treatment.

These steps ensure that you and your healthcare provider have all the necessary information for an accurate assessment and an effective treatment plan.

Can lifestyle changes impact the effectiveness of my treatment?

  • Diet and Nutrition: Eating a balanced diet can support your body’s healing processes and overall well-being.
  • Physical Activity: Regular exercise can improve many aspects of health, from cardiovascular fitness to mental health.

  • Stress Management: Learning to manage stress through techniques like meditation, yoga, or therapy can improve your quality of life and potentially impact your health positively.

Integrating these lifestyle changes, with guidance from your healthcare professional, can enhance your treatment effectiveness and contribute to better health outcomes.

What should I expect during my first visit to a new doctor’s office?

  1. Introduction: Your first visit will likely start with an introduction to the doctor and their staff.
  2. Medical History: You’ll discuss your medical history, including any past conditions, surgeries, or significant health events.
  3. Discuss Current Symptoms: The doctor will want to know about any symptoms you’re experiencing.
  4. Physical Examination: Expect a basic physical examination to assess your overall health.
  5. Medication Review: Be prepared to discuss any medications you’re currently taking, including prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs and vitamins.

This initial appointment is your opportunity to build a rapport with your new doctor and set the stage for your ongoing healthcare.

How do I talk to my doctor about concerns with prescribed medications, such as potential side effects?

Open communication with your doctor about your medication concerns is crucial. Here’s how to approach it:

  • Be Honest: Start by being open about the side effects you’re experiencing. Your healthcare provider needs this information to help you effectively.
  • Ask Questions: Don’t hesitate to ask about the potential side effects of any new medication. Understanding what to expect can help you manage or even prevent some side effects.
  • Discuss Alternatives: If the side effects are problematic, discuss alternative medications or treatments. There may be other options that can provide relief without the adverse effects.
  • Follow Up: If you decide to adjust your medication or dosage, make sure to follow up with your doctor to report on how the changes are working for you.
