Our general services include �well women' and �well men' checks - a 30 minute overall check-up, skin checks for sun cancers and melanomas, childhood vaccinations, blood-sugar tests, cholesterol checks and drug and alcohol screening. We are the only Mackay occupational medicine specialist servicing the town and surrounding areas. In conjunction with our general medical services we also provide fitness for work assessments, injury management and rehabilitation, return-to-work programs, and worksite safety and risk assessment. Our business has been operating in Mackay since 2007 with the sole owner of the business, Dr Chris Hornsby at the helm. After completing ophthalmic training in Australia Dr Chris Hornsby worked at an ophthalmic hospital in Jerusalem as the Australian Priory Fellow, and then completed sub-specialist training in diseases and surgery of the cornea at Birmingham Midlands Eye Centre. Dr Chris Hornsby also has specialist training in oculoplastic, orbital, lacrimal and facial plastic surgery, completed at the Cincinnati Eye Institute in the USA.
