Access Healthcare Taree aims to provide comprehensive healthcare for your family. Our GPs offer a number of services and we have a treatment room for minor procedures, wound management and vaccinations. Please note that the doctors have limited appointments available. Dr Douglas Samuel is a consultant physician specialising in gastrointestinal (GI) and liver disorders. A well functioning GI tract or liver is important for well being and life-long health. Disease in these organs can be the source of chronic health problems interfering with quality of life. Dr Samuel helps patients to avoid or cure these disorders. He works closely with referring general practitioners and specialists both before and after consultations for comprehensive care.

Dr Birgit Strong is a locally based obstetrician and gynaecologist who has been providing services to the area since 2005. She holds VMO appointments in the Mayo Private Hospital Taree and Forster Private Hospital as well as Manning Base Hospital Taree, providing public and private surgical care. Dr Strong obtained her primary medical degree in Heidelberg, Germany, and completed her training as an obstetrician and gynaecologist in Germany in 1999. After emigration to Australia, she obtained her Australian Fellowship of RANZCOG in 2004. She provides services in antenatal and postnatal care, public obstetric care, and general gynaecology. She is fully certified to perform colposcopy for abnormal cervical screening.

Wynter Street Medical Centre (WSMC) is a large general practice located in Taree. It was established around 80 years ago, initially at the Manning Street before it was moved to Wynter Street. The practice provides comprehensive general practice care and has serviced the community for decades with a longstanding team initially started by a group of doctors (some have gone) who were bound by a "handshake". Dr Chris Larkin and Dr Anthony Giordano being the longest staying Trustees, were later joined by Dr Elamir Rizk and Dr Eid Andrawes.
