At The Ageing & Disability Services - MidCoast Council, we support older people and people with disabilities within our community and their carers. Our services range from help with applying for benefits, loan of mobility equipment or social activities. Our qualified and dedicated staff ensure you or your loved ones can lead a fuller, more enjoyable life. We can also help with carer training and support, including developing a specifically tailored support package to help you and your loved ones to feel more empowered and independent. To improve social life of older people and people with disabilities, we organise regular centre-based social events and local community activities that enable people to meet new people and establish life-long friendships. Ability Options provide employment and disability services. We support people who need assistance to achieve their aspirations and inclusion in the community. We operate services to support people with disabilities and those whose lives are changed as a result of accidents, unemployment and disadvantage. Our disability services support people with accommodation, respite care, support co-ordination, community services and therapy. Our employment services assist job seekers, including parents, indigenous communities, school leavers and people with disability to find work and maintain work. We pride ourselves on delivering a person centred approach which emphasises the individual's right and opportunity for choice and self-determination, empowering people to achieve their aspirations and goals and to live life to their full potential.
