CatholicCare Social Services Hunter-Manning is a not-for-profit organisation and a mission and outreach agency of the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle. We employ more than 160 local people to provide services and support to families, couples, individuals and children in the Hunter-Manning regions. Our services include a range of child and family services, youth services, disability and community services and foster care training and support.

Hunter Care Group was the brainchild of our CEO Jarrod Burns. Having worked in the disability support industry for years, he was frustrated by seeing both clients and staff treated poorly – and he set out to change things for the better for everyone. Today, we’re a young, energetic, fresh-thinking team of mental health and disability support specialists on a mission to shake up the industry. We want participants to live life as comfortably and proactively as possible and staff to be happy in their work. We’re currently one of the largest NDIS providers in the Hunter region – with the potential to grow nationwide. However, expansion will only happen when we’re 100% confident we can still deliver the same high level of reliable, consistent and individualised support.

Community Disability Alliance Hunter (CDAH) is a peer support organisation, run for and by people with disability with the support of their allies and families. At our core is peer support. We are forging new directions and are guided by our vision of an inclusive and just society where people with disability have genuine voice, choice and control. CDAH actively promotes and facilitates peer support to assist people to get the support they need to live the life they choose. CDAH works toward its vision by providing information, mentoring, peer support, training and development to increase the knowledge, skills and capacity of people with disability and their families, by providing a collective voice and by building the capacity of the community to welcome all people. CDAH believes that people who have shared experiences can offer invaluable support to others who are about to embark on a similar journey. CDAH’s work is driven by its Board which is made up of people with lived experience of disability. CDAH is a unique organisation that can speak for people with disability in the Hunter with authenticity and conviction. CDAH is often sought out by health and education departments, the disability services sector and by private industry to gain insight of lived experience of disability in shaping policy and processes.

At Life Without Barriers, we help change peoples' lives for the better. Our non-for-profit social purpose organisation works in more than 300 communities across Australia, This equals to supporting just over 11,500 people living in their own homes or in residential houses that we manage. Our commitment is to helping those in need. We provide support to those who are homeless, seeking refugee, elderly and people with disability or mental illness in Wollongong. Cerebral Palsy Alliance provides family-centred therapies, life skills programs, equipment and support for people and their families living with cerebral palsy and other neurological and physical disabilities.
