Simple repair to injection pump control shaft oil seal leak. Came back with a substantial oil leak from the end cap oring. No leak from there before. Oring was cut. No issues with the pump starting or running previously. Returned the pump and ended up with a $600:bill for a complete recondition of the pump that was not needed. I could not pass this cost on to the boat owner who knew that there were no running or starting issues with the pump. I have 30 year data base of Diesel engine work on the Sunshine Coast. Construction transport and boats.
