The Sunshine Dance Centre has been established in Nambour since 1995. Offering a wide range of performing arts, the Sunshine Dance Centre is recognised for high quality dance tuition. Past students have gone on to professional dance careers either as performers or teachers. Great success has been achieved in examinations with the opportunity to participate in the prestigious R.A.D. Classical Ballet Examinations and C.S.T.D. Theatrical, Modern Jazz and Tap Examinations. Our students have shown great dedication resulting in a consistent 100% pass rate for the school. Exams provide wonderful goals for the children in order to realise their dancing potential. Participation in Eisteddfods is encouraged to give children stage experience and enhance their quality of performance. The Sunshine Dance Centre has had many wonderful results in group, solo and duo/trio categories. In 2011, we placed first in modern, slow modern, contemporary, song and dance, and acrobatic sections across several age groups. We have also had students achieve age champions, adjudicators encouragement awards, and bursary entrants. Each year is concluded with a concert held in the Nambour Civic Centre. The end of year concert has been the highlight of previous years as I'm sure it will continue to be in the future.
