The Sunshine Dance Centre has been established in Nambour since 1995. Offering a wide range of performing arts, the Sunshine Dance Centre is recognised for high quality dance tuition. Past students have gone on to professional dance careers either as performers or teachers. Great success has been achieved in examinations with the opportunity to participate in the prestigious R.A.D. Classical Ballet Examinations and C.S.T.D. Theatrical, Modern Jazz and Tap Examinations. In 2011, we placed first in modern, slow modern, contemporary, song and dance, and acrobatic sections across several age groups. We have also had students achieve age champions, adjudicators encouragement awards, and bursary entrants. Each year is concluded with a concert held in the Nambour Civic Centre. The end of year concert has been the highlight of previous years as I'm sure it will continue to be in the future. The Dance Centre is situated on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, nestled in the picturesque location of Peregian Springs. We provide a wide range of daily classes, workshops, holiday courses, shows, concerts and activities. With air-con, sprung flooring covered in dance tarkett, the centre is now known and loved by its students and parents. The Dance Centre annually enters students for their Royal Academy of Dance examinations and the majority of students from 6 - 16 years achieve distinctions. Principal Miss Jaymee Haack established Dance Form Professional Studio in 2009 to be a place where kids of all ages shapes and sizes learn to dance, sing and perform. As a Registered Teacher with the British Ballet Organisation (BBO), Ms Haack has professional experience developing talent in young dancers, whether for their personal achievement or to cultivate lifelong careers in dance. We offer a range of classes such as, classical ballet, jazz, modern / lyrical, tap, musical theatre, hip-hop and contemporary.
