It has since been deconsecrated and with the generous support of Newcastle City Council, 48watt is the home of Tantrum Youth Arts. 48watt is a new and innovative arts and cultural space, and is available for hire for theatre rehearsals and productions, music events, workshops, wedding ceremonies, and other cultural and community events. We are located in close proximity to Newcastle's stunning beaches and picturesque King Edward Park and can accommodate for up to 150 people. 48watt has workshop and performance spaces available for hire. The workshop space (the Hall) is a large room - approx 12m x 10m. The Hall has mirrors on one wall and is air conditioned. The performance space (the Church) - approx 11m x 10m. with 3 Phase installed. Please contact our Venue Coordinator for further information.

“I booked a table ahead for lunch and had a great spot next to the window with an amazing view. Truly a memorable spot for our daughters graduation lunch. Very helpful and friendly service with good insights into the meals on offer. We tried the seafood, which was very good value with fresh grilled fish, prawns, mussels, scallops, oysters and salad. Very enjoyable. Definitely recommended.”
