Kayak with the dolphins - Dolphin guarantee! There are estimated to be around 1500 dolphins in the greater Byron Bay area, stretching from Brunswick Heads in the north to Ballina in the south. Byron Bay and its immediate waters are an important habitat for over 300 dolphins. These are called resident dolphins and will live in this area their entire lives. The species most commonly seen on our tours include inshore and offshore bottle nose dolphins, along with some Indo Pacific humpback dolphins and common dolphins. We see dolphins on 90% of our tours and if you don't see them you can come again another time for free! Kayak with the whales May to November is the season to get up close and personal with whales as they migrate past the most easterly point of the Australian mainland Byron Bay.
