Featured Reviews of the Best Chinese Restaurants in Northern Rivers

Hong Kong Restaurant was great. The restaurant offers yummy, cheap Asian food, but the quality is amazing and I can see now why they have so many good reviews. All the waitstaff are there to help you out, the chefs have no problem adjusting your order to suit you either! Good atmosphere, it also offers a good vantage point for the downtown area. Wonderful experience, highly recommended.

Red Ginger Asian Food & Home

Excellent food here, always fresh and lovely and the service was great too. Prices are good, not too expensive, in fact they have a lunch time special where you can order a meal served with Fried Rice for $9.00. We had the Mixed Entree, Duck in Peking Sauce, Fried Rice and King Prawns with Cashews and Vegetables, and 2 Cokes for only $54. We were charged 80c for the take away containers as we couldn't eat it all!

Mun Tein Thai & Chinese Restaurant

My lovely friends took me to have dinner at Raya Chinese Restaurant late last year. All staff were so very friendly and there were lots of visitors. We order the meals and they come out very prompt. The meals are very good and came out in decent size portions too. This place is also worth a visit. Really lucky to have this restaurant in a country town like Alstonville. Hopefully be back again next time we visit.

Bunga Raya Chinese Restaurant

My lovely friends decided to take me to Palace Chinese and even though it was a Wednesday evening, they were crazy busy! I haven't seen a restaurant this busy on a Wednesday ever! We had to wait a little longer than the 15 minutes we were told (about 35 mins) which wasn't great but the staff literally didn't stop, busily taking orders at tables, at the counter, on the phone and handing out food. Very impressive. The food was fabulous and worth the wait, I can see why it's so popular. There were quite a few other Chinese restaurants that we walked past while waiting but all with very few customers. They were definitely all at the Mandarin Palace! Highly recommended.
