Mindful Occupational Therapy is a mobile service operating in and around Templestowe Lower. It is run by paediatric occupational therapist, Melissa Earl, who has been working in the field for the past 10 years. She has experience working with children from 0-18 years and with varied diagnoses including: * Autism Spectrum Disorder * Attention Deficit Disorder / Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder * Developmental Delay * Intellectual Delay * Cerebral Palsy * Chromosomal Conditions * Down Syndrome * Coordination Disorders * Pathological Demand Avoidance * Sensory Processing Difficulties She has also worked with children who have had difficulties in the following areas: *Sleeping *Restricted Diet *Toileting *Fine Motor Deficits (including difficulties with handwriting legibility) *Gross Motor Deficits *Complex Behaviours *Social Dynamics *Emotional and Self-Regulation Mindful OT operates on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:ooam - 5:00pm. We work with families who are: NDIS self-managed, NDIS plan-managed, self-funded or via Medicare rebate (GP care plan or MHCP).  As intervention is tailored to meet the families’ goals intervention can occur in the home, child care, kindergarten, school or community.

Our boutique long-daycare centre is conveniently located close to local primary schools, including just a 2-minute drive to Templestowe Park Primary School. We provide plenty of car parking onsite for our families’ convenience at drop-off and pick-up times. We have established close ties with Templestowe Park Primary School who we work with for our Transition to School Program. Our curriculum is designed to foster a love for learning in your child, and we offer 3 and 4-Year-Old Funded Kinder Programs to our families to prepare your child for school. We also work in collaboration early intervention specialists to support families and children within our service; working to achieve goals together. This includes the Victorian Inclusion Support Agency Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Maternal Health Nurses. We have a number of incursions that visit our centre including Kids Pop, Active Start Sport, Jamming with Jemma for music and movement sessions, and Maitri Kids Wellbeing for yoga sessions. We offer special extracurricular activities as part of our centre benefits. Children enjoy dancing and movement lessons, yoga classes, a sports program, and our Nursery children enjoy a sensory and music program.
