For over thirty years, Urunga Community Preschool has provided an Early Childhood education for the children of Urunga and surrounds. Located in the heart of Urunga in a beautiful parkland setting, Urunga Community Preschool provides an open and supportive place for children and families to experience Early Childhood education. Urunga Community Preschool is guided by the Early Years' Learning Framework; encouraging active learning and the full participation of each child regardless of ability or background. We are a Registered Child Care Provider. We strive to continually do our best in service provision and as a result our Preschool has been rated �Exceeding National Quality Standard� when assessed by NSW Education & Communities. Our architect designed building is a practical well-organised space, providing an aesthetically pleasing environment for children to learn and play. Urunga Community Preschool's central location provides ready access for regular visits to the school, the library, the park and the fire station. We have a huge sand pit, a rocky wall with water access, a vegie garden and lots of friendly visitors such as our tawny frog mouths, cicadas, blue tongue lizards and water dragon. Urunga Community Preschool is a not-for-profit community organisation funded by the Department of Education. A Committee consisting of parents of our children provide management and meaningful input into the running of our Preschool. Our fees are set as low as possible in order to make access affordable whilst maintaining a quality educational service. Gamumbi Early Childhood Education Centre provides an educational program for children 0-5, based on the National Quality Frameowrk and Early Years Learning Framework for Australia.
