From start to finish, Kain from A Gentle Touch funerals was a delight to deal with. Their friendly establishment was beautiful and one could really see they try to give everything a personal touch. The staff appeared to enjoy working there as well. I came across A Gentle Touch when I was trying to find a beautiful casket for Mum. and I found it along with A Gentle Touch. I had heard that another major brand funeral service was quite incompetent with the service provided for one of my relatives and it was quite expensive, so I thought I would go a different way, and I'm so glad I did. Mum's service was lovely from start to finish. I know she would have approved. It was easy communicating my requests for the kind of funeral service I wanted including a slideshow with videos and music. It was also livestreamed for those who could not attend. If any problems arose, it was dealt with competently and with a good spirit. They are diversity friendly. I would highly recommend them.

Thanks Newhaven Funerals, you are true professionals. Our family is very large and spread all over Australia, many family members were unable to attend Mum's service. However, with your current up-to-date technology we had the service go live with internet streaming. This was highly praised by family and friends who viewed it, allowing them to attend the service wherever they were. The day ran smoothly in a very un-rushed, relaxed environment. All requests were met and nothing was a bother. This allowed us to farewell Mum in style, we are forever grateful.

When my mother passed recently it was unexpected even though she was 93. We didn't have a plan, and thankfully I google cremations and Newhaven popped up.They made it so easy and hassle-free. They told me not to worry about a thing and organised what they had to do. We wanted just a straightforward cremation that was low cost and that is exactly what they provided. My Dad passed away at the end of last year and we chose Newhaven Funerals at Burleigh Heads as his funeral directors - convenient location (could personally talk to staff and physically see caskets and ashes containers shown on website), comparable rates. They would also personally drive to a Church in Brisbane (not reassign to a Brisbane company) where Dad's funeral service was planned, a week after his death. The cremation followed. Just 7 months later, Mum also departed this life, and after a very positive experience with Dad, we had no hesitation in engaging Newhaven again. Mum's service was conducted differently - a Church on the Gold Coast, 2 weeks after her cremation. Newhaven staff were very professional, sensitive to our family's needs, did not push the 'extras', and had many helpful suggestions. They went the extra mile to ensure that things were as stress-free as possible to give my parents beautiful and well-deserved tributes at the end of their lives.

We wanted no funeral so we searched direct cremations in Brisbane and Gold Coast. I was lucky to find the Newhaven which was only 15 minutes from where we live as we had to pick up the ashes afterwards. If you want just the direct cremation with no frills then I would strongly recommend them as they are the cheapest with friendly services.
