The shop was so small that the carpet had to be rolled out into the street to be cut for his customers. Believing in the core values of customer service 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, Smith quickly expanded opening more stores throughout Brisbane. Carpet Call became a house hold name in the 80’s becoming synonymous with the “call call carpet call“ jingle.
