Featured Reviews of the Best Carpenters in Gympie

4.6 Average Rating based on 44 reviews from 23 Carpenters near Gympie

We engaged Stuart Homes & Renovations earlier this year following flood damage to our commercial property. Craig’s service was outstanding, working quickly to ensure our tenants could resume their business operations with minimal interruption. Our property required asbestos removal, mould remediation and general repair work which required the co-ordination of multiple trades in a strict timeframe. We were met with a number of obstacles along the way and Craig was always on the front foot ready to problem-solve. Craig’s communication throughout the project was impeccable. I would gladly recommend Craig and his team for any commercial work.

Stuart Homes & Renovations

Craig and his team did a full renovation of our commercial office. Huge job, huge enthusiasm, huge result. Craig always listened to my ideas and helped make my vision a reality. With trade delays and material delays doing a big renovation took time and was costly, but the end result is a beautiful, functional, stylish building. The quality and care is evident in the end result and Craig and his team certainly provided what I had envisioned. If you can dream it, Craig can build it!

Stuart Homes & Renovations

While organising to get the southern side of my roof painted it was discovered that all of the southern facing timber had rotted out and needed replacing before it could be painted. When Craig came to cost the job he pointed out some more areas that were not obviously rotten needed replacing. He turned up to do the job with 3 other carpenters. The job progressed efficiently with Craig mainly on the ground cutting the timber to fit and directing operations. At no time were people sitting around waiting for instructions or cut material. Also people were not constantly climbing ladders because Craig was able to pass the cut timber up to those on the roof. Everything went smoothly and was completed in under one and a half days. All of his carpenters were competent tradesmen and worked very efficiently together. Great team, highly recommended.

Stuart Homes & Renovations

Craig Stuart and his team have been a godsend for us. We were unsure if we could achieve what we wanted to do and no real idea as to where to start. Stuart Homes & Renovations was recommended to us and at our very first meeting we knew Craig was the person we wanted (needed) to transform our home. We have had a number of challenges to overcome due to poor workmanship from previous builders and the plan has changed and grown along with our ideas. Craig has happily worked with us to find the best solution for what we want and to overcome each challenge we've come up against. We couldn't be happier with the service, workmanship and wealth of knowledge Craig has provided personally and through his more than able team. Together they are working to bring our ideas to life to complete our home.

Stuart Homes & Renovations

Craig Stuart from Stuart Homes and Renovations is a world class builder working out of the Gympie area. I first met Craig some five years ago when he fitted a bathroom and kitchen to a shed we had built on our property in preparation for a house. Even though it was a small job, Craig was the consummate professional from day one. I have done a bit of DIY renovation work over the years but watching Craig and his team work really brought home what a difference his years of experience make. Getting the initial work done correctly allowed everything else to flow seamlessly and Pearl and I were very happy with the end result. Once we were in a position to start our house build, we didn’t even consider another builder. Our architect designed house had a number of challenges that Craig quickly identified and presented us with options for how to best achieve them in practice. We also made several changes along the way, some of them quite significant in scope. Craig never became flustered.

Replaced our rotten decking boards and gave our veranda a fresh lick of paint. He showed up on time and with his professional equipment he finished the job before the end of the day. 5/5 would recommend.

Stephen Jackson Home Maintenance & Handyman Services

Stephen was very prompt with all aspects of the project, from the initial meeting, quoting, doing the actual repairs and invoicing. His work is first class. He did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it. I highly recommend his services.

Smarten It Up Handyman Services

Mark is a thoroughly decent and very knowledgeable handyman - toilet and plumbing best options, loosening casement windows etc etc. The kind of bloke you love giving work to in order to support local business AND know the job will be done well and promptly. #1 choice next time too.

These two bloke did a great job. They arrived on time, worked hard on digging out some big plants, took all the rubbish with them and charged a fair price. I am very very happy to recommend them

Need woodwork?

When we speak of carpenters in the heartland of Gympie, we're not just whistling dixie. These artisans are ahead of the curve, armed with an arsenal of skills that can turn a pile of plain old lumber into a masterpiece.

First things first: what's their claim to fame? Well, they're quite handy. First on their list is repairing structures and fixtures made from wood. If you've got a rotted wooden porch or an antique architrave that's seen better days, it’s right up their alley.

But wait – there's more! They aren't afraid to get their hands dirty in new projects either. Whether you want a grand barn door for your homestead, or bespoke kitchen cabinets that’ll have your neighbours green with envy, they'll cut no corners making your visions come to life.

Ever had the flea-tingling notion to refurbish your home? These craftsmen will nail it every time – quite literally. They retrofit homes with precision and finesse; replacing outdated fittings and worn-out furniture like there's no tomorrow. It’s a skill honed over countless years in the field that truly sets these fine craftsman apart.

Of course, safety isn’t thrown out the window either. With power tools buzzing around like bees in a honey pot, these guys stay sharp and follow safety regulations to the letter ensuring both themselves and those on site remain safe at all times.

Transitioning from drafting plans to delivering finished projects means carpenters constantly hop from one foot to the other. Their job runs miles beyond sawing planks of wood or hammering nails - it demands creativity, meticulous attention to detail and bucket loads of patience.

The takeaway here? Carpenters in Gympie are real trailblazers in the world of craftsmanship; their eye-catching handiwork captures hearts faster than lightning could strike a tree. Next time you spot someone boarding up a jack-knifed fence or cutting timber like a hot knife through butter, tip your hat off to them - because chances are high that's a proud Gympie carpenter hard at work.
