Welcome to the Blind Baker! Our bakery, in the heart of New Lambton Village, features on-site bakers who produce delicious items daily. We specialise in freshly made gluten-free products as well as artisan sourdough and tasty handmade goods. We bought the bakery in 2018, recognising that it was a unique and growing business with a loyal customer base who demand exceptional quality. We soon grew into a tight-knit, passionate staff who believe in treating our customers like family. Our talented bakers pour their heart into everything we sell. We are one of the few bakeries in Newcastle that bake all our gluten-free items fresh on the premises. We strive to uphold the strictest guidelines to provide a safe environment for creating fresh, mouth-watering gluten-free products. You can be assured that our processes are thorough and consistent. The Blind Baker uses only the best, freshest ingredients to ensure our gluten-free sweet and savoury baked goods are of the highest quality and taste simply amazing! Come in and try our gluten-free lemonade or savoury scones. Our artisan sourdough is made daily using time-honoured, traditional methods. The ‘mother dough’ we use at the beginning of the baking process has been growing for years, producing an exceptional bread. Sourdough is very popular, not just because it tastes incredible but also because of the health benefits it provides. It is low in sugar, is packed with a variety of nutrients and is beneficial for gut health. Come in and try some of our old-fashioned, delicious sourdough, the perfect base for your sandwich or to accompany any meal. ​

The Vacy General Store has been trading since 1868 well over 150 years! Ian & Jo, who live locally within the community, purchased the Vacy General Store in August 2016 and have worked hard bringing the store back to life as it should be. Come and visit Vacy General Store, have a relaxing coffee with tasty food, and then browse around our store at your own leisure.

You’ll find them in store in the early hours, using real ingredients to create pure doughy goodness. Using Synergy Coffee and Neoma Tea we have your caffeine fix ready at our cafe. Whether you're an avid cappuccino drinker, or you're after something new like our Turmeric latte, we have something to suit everyone's taste. At Parkview Cafe, we also have breakfast, lunch, and brunch sorted with our delicious food menu. Wraps, sandwiches, burgers, share boards, lasagnas, and tasty treats are just some of the foods you can indulge in. We even have the little one's sorted with our children's menu. Come down to our Singleton cafe and relax by the park with great food, great coffee, and the view to match! We're open 7 days a week.
