OMG what a beautiful place, great staff, lots to look at, food first class - our day in Tyalgum was the best - thank you Flutterbies and surrounding shops.

The Bean Van

Not only is this a great rest stop, it's great for the kids to play plus it has facilities and overnight stop over. You can also get an awesome coffee and light snack/lunch. The bean van makes a wonderful and delicious coffee, perfect start to the morning. They certainly know how to make a good coffee and are very friendly. Thanks guys! Will definitely visit next time we pass by.

Being locals, we eat a several times per year at The Mended Drum (inside the local pub) and I always choose the Caesar salad, which must be the best in the Northern Rivers!! If you like anchovies, you must mention that to get 'the full Monty'. (Too many people have wasted them, so they leave them out unless requested.) The other dishes look good, too.

Excellent wraps and frittatas and highly recommend their caramel slice! Terrific service and great addition to the area.

Came with a wide range in age from 13 to 83. I made a lot of research before confirming to come to this tour. We stayed on the Gold Coast and it took about 45 minutes to get to Tweed Head. The tour started at 9:30am and lasts for just for 2 hours. Its not worthwhile to just come to this tour, that's why I wanted to have lunch in their restaurant too. Given the diverse age and menu preference, I made reservation directly. Email response was fast. There were a lot to do on the cruise in that 2 hours: pelican feeding, yabbies pumping, crab trap pulling and then fishing. En-route, we saw the bat habitat. Scenery around the area was nice. Personally, I think they should give us 30 more minutes. After coming back onshore, they gave a brief introduction on oyster farming. We had lunch at the restaurant after the tour. Food was great there. Oysters and crabs were fresh. They were also cooked well. We ordered the special crab in chilli sauce which was excellent!
