Early versions of the store were proven in Japan but it wasn’t until their return to Australia in 2010 that B & Yayoi were compelled to truly express and the Butterfly Shop was established. Kuranda Rainforest Coffee was established in 2007 to serve and promote the superb coffee of the ultimate coffee growing region in Australia - The Atherton Tablelands, specifically the higher altitudes of Mareeba Shire. Our single origin arabica is produced in an environmentally friendly, chemical-free and ethical way in rich red volcanic soil and stored in a climate-controlled environment so no further pesticides are required and the beans you can enjoy are free of moulds and other pathogens. Each day, small batches are roasted with the utmost care and presented for your enjoyment in various ways at ultimate freshness and aroma.
