A very popular place. They played live music on Saturday night . Very busy so it took awhile to get our meals but definitely worth the wait, excellent food and reasonably priced.

Thank you for making my best birthday cake ever ! it looked spectacular and it was absolutely delicious. The profiteroles were delicious, generous strawberries, yummy toffee and a very special cream filled pastry base all built into a neat presentation. Everyone enjoyed eating it.

Saumarez Homestead is available for weddings, birthdays, dinners, exhibitions, conferences/workshops and meetings. You can hold your event in the Jackson Centre, a large stable and barn which can accommodate very large parties and has brick floors, power and water. Alternatively, there is the function centre, a relatively new building with a function room that can be divided in two and seats up to 95, a small modern kitchen, and a courtyard which can accommodate a small marquee and dance floor. The gardens comprise of extensive lawns, large trees, flower beds and two large flat areas for the placement of hired marquees. The peace and quiet of Saumarez will surround you on your special occasion.

Take a guided tour through the White family's 30 room Edwardian mansion complete with original furnishings. Stroll through Mary White's garden, with its Edna Walling style cottage garden, the picking garden and the lawns. Visit outbuildings complete with 19th century tools and equipment. Allow at least half a day to see this extensive property, and experience 19th century pastoral life.

Stunning historic country homestead with gardens, farm buildings and a cafe giving you an insight into rural life in the 1800's. Available to the public for tours, weddings, functions and events. This ten-hectare grazing property was first inhabited by British settlers led by Henry Dumaresq in the 1830's. Today it includes an elegant, extensive, fully furnished Edwardian homestead, built between 1888 and 1906, and 15 farm and other buildings dating up to 1910, with their collections of early farm equipment.

This place is definitely worth a visit. Excellent. The property is very well maintained in its 1906 state. The tour guide is fantastic too. Lunch at their cafe was also very pleasant. I highly recommend it to anyone.

This nice takeaway shop has nice and friendly staff. Took a bit longer than expected but that's only because it was freshly cooked. Little on the expensive side and I presume they have a local following to demand those prices. Food nicely cooked and chips were perfect. Would definitely return.

So popular and I can see why! It has a really funky relaxed feel though. The staff are quite attentative and the food is exquisite. Must try the wood fire pizza. Price is a little high though.

Blue Wren Creekside is a unique cafe in a large country garden set on a secluded bend of Commissioners Waters, just10 mins drive from Armidale, NSW. Extensive and private gardens surround the house leading down to the water. We opened in February 2013 having spent 20 years establishing the garden amidst a busy family life and full time work. It is open on Sundays from 10am till 5pm in Spring, Summer and Autumn unless otherwise advised. Morning and afternoon teas include deliciously home baked treats, espresso coffee and specialty teas served in old world, fine bone china. Lunch bookings are taken in advance via phone, email or Facebook message. Blue Wren Creekside also opens for larger groups on other days by arrangement. A small gift shop allows guests to buy plants, a special gift for someone or a memento of their visit. Accommodation can be arranged via the website Airbnb or contacting Blue Wren Creekside. Only 5 minutes away is the naturally stunning wilderness of the Gara Gorge and the �Blue Hole�, both very popular tourist attractions. Driving Directions: Leave Armidale on the Waterfall Way (Grafton Road). At the 80 speed sign turn right into Castledoyle Rd. Travel 12 kms along this road, then turn left into Milne Rd. Blue Wren is a nice spot with a perfect riverside setting. Situated in the garden of a private home in the countryside out of Armidale. Very nice vibe. Had a nice tea and iced coffee. Prompt service. The GF orange cake was fresh, warm and delicious. Make bookings!
