Marty already had completed 2 years ago my kitchen in my new build investment home which I was extremely happy wuth! So, when we were looking to renovate our kitchen and laundry in our current 30 year old Qldr, getting Marty to do the job was a no brainer. Marty had some great ideas with styling to ensure that the new kitchen fitted in with the rest of the house. I didnt want a white kitchen, so went with Silver Teapot cupboards and Caesarstone top. The butler sink was a must and measurements had to be precise for this, plus to allow for our Falcon upright cooker! The finished job is amazing and everyone who comes into our home fall in love with the kitchen. The laundry too was a huge transformation and both hubby and I are more than 100 percent happy. We will be getting our ensuite renovated and certainly will use Martys service again. Excellent communicator, an honest tradie and top bloke.

Marty from Against the Grain Cabinetry is a highly professional and experienced Sunshine Coast cabinet maker, who delivers top quality finished products at a fair price. Against the Grain has built and installed cabinetry for us twice. The first of these was a full kitchen and bathroom cabinet design and build, which still looks and functions as well today as it did on the day it was installed. The most recent job was creating a useful desk/shelf unit in a townhouse living area (see photo). When we recently sold the townhouse, our buyer indicated that this unit was a key feature in making their purchase decision. Factors in the quality of Against the Grain projects are the attention to detail, quality of hardware fittings and great finish. Because of his experience and knowledge, we found that Marty provided very practical advice and design suggestions that enhanced our original ideas.

I cannot speak more highly of Marty from Against the Grain Cabinetry. On commencing our new build, our previous kitchen contractor let us down and Marty came to the par with his quotation, timeline to keep the job on the due date. We had 2 butler and 1 x laboratory sinks which were "interesting" in our kitchen, butlers pantry and laundry. Marty ensured that all design details were on point and ensured that all on site inspections and work carried out met his high standards. An awesome kitchen, butlers pantry, laundry and 3 bathrooms later and very happy with results. Would certainly use Marty again and happy to refer him.

Family who have used Against The Grain before referred me to Marty, as they had only good experiences. The kitchen for my new home quickly became priority. Everyone had good ideas, but it wasn’t until I met with Marty that I felt like he could make my vision happen. It was the collaboration with Marty that made it happen and kept this customer very happy. He took time out of his weekends to visit and share samples until I was satisfied. The final product was a design by Marty, which compliments the entire home and included innovative ideas to find the right fit for appliances and the bin. The kitchen functions so well! As you explained, the design needs to allow for 'flow' when working in the space. This certainly does happen, even when a few are working together in the space. The butlers pantry is a wonderful new space which again allows for more efficient use of the kitchen area. Thank you for your inspiration and for the professionalism with installation.
