The Great Northern is a lively Byron Bay venue with great drinks, daily live entertainment including Duelling Piano Bar and welcoming atmosphere. First established in 1892, rebuilt in 1897 & 1936 after fires burnt the first two versions to the ground, the 1936 rebuild is the Great Northern you see today. The “front bar” is a perfect example of a proper, old Australian Hotel Bar, rich with character and great place to have a beer and watch some live sport. Not to mention the top-quality live music by the very best blues, rock & folk artists the Northern Rivers region has to offer.
