COVID-19 UPDATE Due to the Government restrictions that are being inforced as of 12pm Monday, we at Base Cafe are no longer able to offer our Customers a dine in option. All meals drinks and coffees are to be take away only. We are working on an online ordering system to make this process more streamlined for all. We are also able to do a lunch drop to our fabulous health professionals at the hospital. We are creating a lunch ordering system for delivery as well.

“I was lucky enough to choose Star of Alice for our wedding reception and we were absolutely thrilled we did. Lisa and her team produced magnificent food that our friends raved about and fit our needs perfectly (we had banquet share plates). They dressed the venue exactly as I had envisioned. It looked magic. They were impeccably professional and everything ran smoothly. Naturally all brides have certain wants and demands (I don't think I was too much of a bridezilla) but Lisa took all of my requirements and communications in her stride. Oh and they did a great job of the off site catering and service at the Telegraphs Station where we had our ceremony. If I was organising another function in Alice Springs I would not hesitate in working with the Star of Alice/ Reality Bites catering again. Thanks Lisa and team!”

In 2013, 8CCC established a Saturday Morning Café at the Alice Springs premises, and completed the building and fit out of a small production and training studio at the studios. To mark the changes at 8CCC, a new logo was launched, featuring a Willy Wagtail, also known as the gossip or messenger bird. New signage was made for the two studios and on the highway. Again this was achieved a lot of volunteer support.

“Such a great place to stay after a long drive. Ample site with grass. Good price for powered site and great old amenities. Room to move and plenty of hot water. The bar was excellent to at happy hour.. Great ambiance”
