North Queensland Maritime was the north's first locally owned Queensland Transport approved BoatSafe Training Organisation to offer Townsville Boat Licence Training Courses. It is owned and operated by Robin and Shari Kitchin, based in Townsville. Robin is a Qualified Engineer, Scuba Diving Instructor & Ships Master Graduate of the Australian Maritime College. New Legislation now requires all those wishing to gain a Queensland Boat Licence to undergo training and assessment under the BoatSafe scheme.
