Avocado Grove was originally part of an extensive avocado orchard. We have retained many of the original trees which still produce a healthy crop. As well as these, we have other fruit trees including: citrus, lychee and custard apple. The house is a modern Queenslander with verandah on all sides and is surrounded by landscaped gardens.

Nestled on the edge of the historic village of Eumundi, Gridley Homestead stands on the site of the first white settler's slab hut. This lovely old traditional Queenslander has been restored and extended to include four ensuited bedrooms, each with a verandah view and an extensive guest lounge and dining area. With a cozy wood burning fireplace in the lounge and a well stocked library of books and DVDs to peruse our Gridley Homestead is your home away from home. All rooms are air conditioned. Our chef owner, Damien, prepares a delicious two course breakfast for you to enjoy. He can also cater for exclusive use dinner parties. Damien sources his produce locally and organic where possible. We are only a 500m stroll from Eumundi's famous markets and the centre of town. Eumundi has a variety of great restaurants, cafes, pubs, art galleries and boutique shops.

We offer a spacious Cottage (ex dairy) with separate comfortable Bedroom, Kitchenette, Lounge Room with big TV, Bath room, Dining room and a (wet) Storage room. Located 7kms north of Gympie, just off the highway, we are close to town with all the necessary local facilities and services (hospital, chemist, newsagents and a diverse variety of shops - Woolworths, Coles, IGA, Bunnings, Aldi) We cater for couples and provide with a hearty continental breakfast, providing a quiet and peaceful environment. You can also cook your own supplies on the supplied BBQ. Our large Crow Ash Tree provides the perfect shade for an afternoon drink while enjoying the often spectacular sunsets. We also have a large picnic table, just perfect for an outdoor lunch. At nightfall, watch the stars, sit by the fire or just enjoy the ambience. Valli-Vu is surrounded by a neighbouring cattle property with magical views and pretty gardens. There is abundant bird life, with the occasional kangaroo, possums, hares and our two pet Jack Russell's (George and Mick). They just think that visitors come to see them.... We can also cater for small boutique ceremonies (wedding, christening, naming etc.). Our pergola can be event themed just for you and then you can stay in the Cottage. So come and stay with us.
